A young football player, an extremely fat girl and a penniless peasant live in a godforsaken mountain village. Despite everything, it is their home. Suddenly this isolated corner of the country turns out to be the decisive center in a referendum for or against the European Union. The characters have no interest in politics or politicians; they have enough of their own little problems. Mike, the local soccer star, accidentally killed his mother and points - why? - every generous offer from foreign football clubs, although his father is very sad. Olga is so fat that no one wants to make love to her, but she longs so desperately for a friend or lover that she even wants to look for him in the pig sty. Joso feels deeply miserable under his meager existence. In addition, he has a son who, for inexplicable reasons, is always thirsty. But Joso discovers that the real misery lies in loneliness.
