Illegal car races have been held on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles for over 30 years. Friends Steve, Buddy and Roger are obsessed with these speed races and spend all their free time with them. Steve is the "mountain king" and defends his title against anyone who challenges him.

I found this drama about a street racer and his music-making friends disappointing. It felt like a bad seventies movie. Don't expect "Fast & Furious" stuff. The action scenes that take place above Los Angeles are substandard, the monotonous main character with his tough poses is a big disappointment and those friends with their stupid songs are also not very interesting. A movie to forget quickly; only Dennis Hopper is a welcome bright spot here in yet another role as a half-crazy guy.
