Kindheit plot

The story is about a 9-year-old boy Alfons (Marc Poser) who grows up in eastern Germany during the Second World War with his grandmother Anna (Carmen-Maja Antoni). While Grandpa has to stay in bed because of an accident, partly caused by the boy, Grandma has an affair with a circus artist. Meanwhile, the Russian Red Army is getting closer and Grandma leaves for the west with the circus.
