Kikyô plot

"Homecoming" portrays post-war corruption through the eyes of a naval officer who has been in exile in Malaysia since the 1930s. After initially reluctant to return to Japan after the war, he eventually does so at the urging of his daughter and lover. However, once in Japan he proves unable to adapt.
