Kenoma plot

The hiker Jonas arrives in the small town of Kenoma, in the interior of Brazil. He is attracted to the girl Tari and lingers. He also meets the craftsman Lineu, who has devoted his life to one goal, which is to convert an old mill into a perpetuum mobile, a machine that can produce endlessly without fuel. Jonas joins Lineu, fascinated more by his persistence than by his work. As their friendship grows, so do Jonas's difficulties in winning Tari's heart.
