Gelsenkirchen, 1979. By chance, Lilli learns that her husband Kalle and his male colleagues earn significantly more than the women in the photo lab, even though Kalle has not been working there very long. Together with her friends Gerda and Rosi, Lilli wants to fight this injustice. The problems in their private lives, however, consume more than enough energy.
