Kayan plot

Hanin is a divorcee who runs a Lebanese restaurant in Vancouver. It is a safe haven for immigrants from all over the world. Every day she bravely steps into her high-heeled shoes to face all the worries, with hardly time for her two teenage daughters, who sometimes fall asleep between the guests. Hanin longs for a shoulder to rest on, but her boyfriend only reports on her cell phone. She wonders if she should accept the advances of a newly arrived Iranian.
