Claire Bishop works as a flight attendant. One day her colleague Amber asks if she can take her daughter Sam from New York to Boston, to Sam's father Graham. Because Graham doesn't show up at the airport, Claire takes the girl to her hotel against all the rules. There, Sam overhears a telephone conversation between Claire and her mother: who says that Graham, with whom she is involved in a custody battle, will never be allowed to see his daughter again. Completely off the map, Sam runs away from the hotel. Claire realizes what's going on and takes leave to look for the girl...
