Kathleen Mavourneen plot

Fresh off Emerald Isle, the beautiful Kathleen Mavourneen arrives at Ellis Island, where her large loving family is waiting to greet her. The lovable Kathleen's hand soon sparks a battle between her lifelong friend Terry, a humble plumber, and the brisk, wealthy politician Dan Moriarty. Lured by the politician's mansion and lavish lifestyle and the promised financial aid to her poor family, Kathleen succumbs to Moriarty's pressure and agrees to marry him. But on the night of her honeymoon, her new groom's true nature is revealed and she must question the decision that may have ruined her life.
