Kasei no Kanon plot
Kiniko is in a relationship with the older, married Kohei. Although she experiences their relationship as cold and knows that he will never choose her, she does not end the relationship. The younger Hijiri shares an apartment with her boyfriend Manabe, who is always looking for sexual partners. He is also interested in Kiniko. Hijiri has great difficulty with Kiniko's adulterous relationship and regularly confronts her about it. In addition, she makes efforts to thwart that relationship, but is not completely honest about her motives.
