Karriere plot

Günter Walcher is an average apolitical West German citizen caught in a moral conflict. He has been offered a promotion, on the condition that he find a reason to have Zacharias fired, the chairman of the workers' council and a convinced communist. This reminds him of another situation where he had to do what he felt was wrong: when he was a member of the Hitler Youth and became responsible for someone's death.
