Winters are harsh in 1980's Turkey and the country is suffering under the yoke of the military dictatorship. Serhat, Gurbuz and Ibrahim have little use for this and daily go out with their wooden sleds to collect coal for their family. Relying on their own and reciting passages from their favorite films together countless times, they try to survive every day.
