Kamienne Tablice plot

A mixture of love and politics in the exotic setting of the Polish embassy in New Delhi, India, where news of the events of 1956 in Poland and of the Stalinist era is confusing. The tension caused by the political situation ultimately causes the very unhappy relationship between the Australian doctor Margit and Jan, the cultural attaché who is concerned about the fate of his wife and children in Poland, to break down.
