Kaigun Tokubetsu Nensho Hei plot

Japan June 1943. Boys as young as fourteen are recruited into the Takeyama Marine Division. Their backgrounds and their motivations for joining the navy vary widely. When a boy kills himself for fear of embarrassing his family, the instructors realize how militarism has poisoned the nation and there's nothing they can do to save the boys an almost certain fate on Iwojima.
