Joy in the Morning plot
"Love is more than a good night kiss!"
Carl Brown and Annie McGairy are hopelessly in love. Both their parents are old acquaintances from their former homeland. Carl's parents want a better match for their son than Annie, who grew up in slums. Annie runs away and goes to Carl's school to ask him to marry her. They get into trouble, on the one hand because of the head of the school who disapproves of their marriage and on the other hand Carl's angry parents.
