Journey Together plot

"A story dedicated to the Few who trained the Many"

Two Royal Air Force cadets, David Wilton and John Aynesworth, become friends. A rivalry develops between the two when they both attend pilot training. They bet on who will be the better pilot. Both pass their education and are sent to the United States. Once there, it becomes clear that while David is otherwise a good pilot, he cannot land a plane. He is devastated by this and that feeling is made even worse when he sees that John is a born pilot. While John continues his pilot training, David is sent to Canada to be trained as a navigator instead.
