Jörg Ratgeb - Maler plot

On the eve of the German Peasants' War, painter Jörg Ratgeb is looking for a Jesus figure. When he finds no one who can fulfill this desire, and is partly ravaged by insecurity, he leaves his wife and children to follow in the footsteps of his great example Albrecht Drürer. Before that, he could always have kept aloof from the political battlefield, but now that he has turned his life around, that is about to change.
