Jia plot

Liu and Deng have been married for nearly half a century in their 70s and live in a small downtown area of China. The family of Liu and Deng consists of typical ordinary Chinese. The eldest daughter Liqin is divorced and has a teenage son. They live with them. The second daughter Xiaomin and the youngest son Xujun live in distant cities, are married and each has their own family. They are also too busy to visit their parents, so the old couple decides to take a long trip in the hope of seeing them again. It will be a special journey where they will do everything in their power to maintain the family ties despite the distance. Because their family is the only purpose in their lives.
