Jahilya plot
The film describes the current state of the violent emotional dynamics that dominate contemporary Morocco: that between men and women, parents and children, the powerful and those deprived of their civil rights. Moments of human humiliation connect the fate of six characters, who live respectively on a luxurious estate, in an urban environment and on a quarry. A young woman is raped. A suicidal man is caught up in medieval fantasies. An unmarried daughter is pregnant and her blind father is only concerned about the racial purity of his family. There's a bigoted judge and a little boy desperate for a sheep for a sacrificial feast forbidden by the king...
