Jag Är Maria plot

Maria, twelve years old, has to stay with her aunt for a while. She soon has new friends: Pia, a girl from her class, and Jon, an old painter. This one looks rather unkempt and sullen. The people in the village think he is always drunk. When Maria's aunt finds out she's dating him, she forbids her to meet Jon again.
