Jacky plot

Jacky, a 25-year-old Chinese, lives with his mother in a terraced house in Eindhoven. He works part-time as a rail tender. During his days off, he hangs out at home or helps his mother in the garden. The peace is disturbed for Jacky when his mother tells him during their weekly swimming hour that according to tradition it is time to marry a woman from China and leave the parental home. Before he knows it, he lives with the young Chi-Chi in a newly built apartment in Amsterdam. In this new environment for Chi-Chi, she will do her best to be a good wife.
