"Love works in mysterious ways"

Andy Bridges is a 13-year-old disabled boy who lives in California with his parents Donald and Alice. Donald and Alice are brimming with good will, but they experience raising their son as a heavy task. One day, a small motor plane crashes into the family's house. The two occupants, the extravagant Jarvis Moody and Pepper Upper, are unharmed and they are introduced to the family. The couple continues to chat and it soon becomes clear that Jarvis and Pepper's visit will change the family forever.
