Island plot

Nikki Black was left behind at birth and has spent most of her life in a care facility. Unable to love, fearful and desperate as she is, she sets out in search of revenge. She decides to look for her birth mother, confront her, and even consider killing her. She travels incognito to a remote island off the Scottish coast where Phyllis, her biological mother, now lives as a hermit with her son Calum.
