Indeks plot

The story is set during the student protests in March 1968. A stubborn student protests the dean's decision to suspend a fellow student on false charges. He drops out of college and then loses his girlfriend and his housing privileges. He takes a job as a coal delivery man. During his work he witnesses a fatal accident of his colleague. He decides to write a story about this. The story is so good that a publisher is interested in it, provided some adjustments are made. He refuses and the story is not published. In the end, the story is commercialized and made into a film, so that he still gains fame.
