"A healer is tormented by the dark side of his"

Exhausted by the demands of his healing skills, Diego lives in seclusion on a small island in his native Puerto Rico. His tranquil life is disrupted, however, when Hilary, an American documentary filmmaker, arrives to continue her project on migration and identity. Drawn to Diego's mysteriousness and the local gossip about him, she befriends him but discovers that his "talent" has a violent side, which has painful consequences for both of them.
