Sonny, a young woman, is falsely accused of murder. Micki, her childhood friend, comes back to live in the city after 30 years of absence and visits her. For Micki, it's clear Sonny is innocent. She hires a lawyer who will uncover the truth. Sonny pleads guilty to exonerate her husband who is the true murderer. Micki is furious and now does everything he can to get Sonny out of prison and back with her children.
