In Love with Life plot
Professor John Sylvestus Applegate has been fired from his position to further lecture in education. John had objected too clearly to the predominance of football and other sports in education. John is at a dead end, now that publishers are showing no interest in his dry matter either. In the park, John meets the young lad Laury and his mother Sharon and is very pleased with them. He is offered a job as a private tutor and he immediately accepts it.
