"They Stood Alone Against the World!"

Tom Carver and Ruth Brewster's wealthy parents disapprove of their relationship and the two decide to run away from home. The family responds by cutting off the young lovers from any financial support. Tom and Ruth start their joint future by leasing land and starting a farm. They face setbacks and hardships, but that doesn't stop them from persevering.
