Imbalance plot
Elizabeth Drewer is a respected philosophy professor who has always been guided by her principles of logic and rationality. When the #MeToo movement reaches her university, a lawsuit against the administration for ignoring the behavior of an outspoken professor leads to the administration imposing stricter rules on relationships between professors and students, even when they are consensual. Elizabeth supports these rules because she believes the power imbalance between professors and students should always prohibit any form of intimacy or social interaction. But the arrival of Elizabeth's new teaching assistant, Richard Amado, turns her world (and her certainties about it) upside down.
