Imani plot

The story of the film takes place in one day. The film follows three different characters in present-day Uganda. A Uganda trying to recover from traumatic times, such as during dictator Idi Amin and the later civil war that became infamous for the use of child soldiers by the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army). One of the three characters was indeed a child soldier, the other two are a domestic worker and a hip-hop dancer. The film is set in the capital Kampala and in the province of Gulu. The three main characters do not meet, but their stories each show what it takes to survive in a country like Uganda.
