Im Vorhof der Wahrheit plot

At the age of 9 the Czech Miroslav already has to deal with the harshness of the Second World War. From the moment his father has to leave him alone on the dangerous front line in the middle of the war, his life has been marked by confrontations with death and evil. When the war is over, Miroslav goes astray in post-war Germany. He is active on the black market and because of that he ends up in prison. In addition, he may be involved in a shooting in Berlin, in which a man was murdered. In his home country of Czechoslovakia, he is suspected of espionage and here too he has to endure the harshness and cruelty of the interrogators.
