Im Toten Winkel plot
A German film crew is making a documentary in northeastern Turkey. In a remote Kurdish village, they witness an elderly woman performing a recurring ritual to keep the memory of her missing son alive. The boy disappeared without a trace 26 years ago and was probably kidnapped by the Turkish secret service. There is a Kurdish translator in the team, who is also the nanny of 7-year-old Melek, whose father is a member of a shadowy organization whose true purpose is unclear. The coming together of all these people will lead to a drama.
