In an Apennine village, the devoted Antimo divides his time between church, his girlfriend and his father with whom he takes care of the cows. One day he meets Lazzaro, who works on a nearby farm. Antimo sees in him a man he can convert to the faith, only he gives it a personal twist. With this they go on untrodden paths.
