Il Ponte sull'Infinito plot

The daughter of a famous composer falls in love with one of her fellow students at the Conservatory where he studies to be a conductor. But the feelings are not mutual and so their relationship ends. Coincidentally, the boy comes into possession of a piece of music - called sull'infinito" - composed by her father. But since her father died and his house was destroyed in a fire, the boy claims that he wrote it himself. is a great success and thanks to its qualities he becomes world famous. But his ex-girlfriend had helped her father write the piece and recognizes it. Then she publicly accuses the musician of fraud...
