Il Maestro e Margherita plot
In 1925 Moscow, a Russian writer comes into conflict with the censorship of his play about Pontius Pilate. He is supported by a mysterious scholar (the devil) who eliminates all his opponents. The final performance is turned into a provocative scandal using black magic, after which the author is put away in an institution.
