"Rome never sleeps"
Kaleidoscopic portrait of life in Rome. Early in the morning, a jogger spies on the awakening Rome from his roof terrace. A Chinese restaurant is raided by mobsters; a businessman returns with his flirtatious niece after a wedding out of town; a smiling traffic cop hands out a ticket to a double-parked taxi driver. Death, suicide, infidelity and love pass through this cinematic portrait of a metropolis. Most of the roles are played by directors and collaborators of Italian cinema.
