"She tried to be a good wife and mother. She tried to keep the abuse a secret. But one day he went too far...and so did she."

Katie, the daughter of a police officer, is abused for years by her husband Jimmy, but she loves him so much that she cannot divorce him. When her situation becomes unbearable, she shoots him dead in desperation. While waiting for her trial, Katie discovers that her idol father, also oppresses her mother in some not-so-subtle way.
