"Who is Fool? The Woman Who Would Kill for Love? The Wife Who Would Give Her Life for Her Love? Or the Husband Who Would Look "Elsewhere" for Love?"

Christine Allison is a doctor who is convicted of murder after helping someone commit suicide. She has to serve 18 months and after she is released there appears to be little work for her. She can no longer practice her profession and she cannot do much else in terms of work. Eventually she is offered a job: taking care of a sick woman. Her employer turns out to be lawyer Stephen Dane, who was prosecuting her. Dane's wife is seriously ill and when someone dies of a drug overdose, Christine is the first to be suspected.
