Hunger Strike Breakfast plot
"Dreams are beautiful, but then there is reality."
In January 1991, thousands of Lithuanians took to the streets to protest the advancing Soviet forces. The invasion was stopped, but soldiers seized the headquarters of Lithuanian Radio and Television, suddenly leaving 700 employees without jobs. Yesterday, Mykolas was a director; today, he's a nobody. A man of principle, he once enjoyed luxury food from the TV buffet, but now he questions whether gambling with freedom was worth it, fearing the occupiers will deprive anyone who dared to speak out. Broadcaster Daiva, well-known and admired, is determined to resist, despite feeling lonely and exhausted.
