Hu Du Men plot
'Hu Du Men' is the space between the stage and the dressing rooms at the Cantonese opera where one can fully prepare for the role to be played. Lang-Kim Sum is an opera star who has often been in that space, but is now also in such a space mentally. She will soon be retiring and will emigrate to Australia with her husband. Her daughter Mimi says she's a lesbian and at Lang-Kim's work the progressive director is completely reshaping traditional opera. Her protégé has to choose between career and love and an old secret from Lang-Kim's past also resurfaces.
