Homecoming plot

"The effects of a war-torn family in a Northwest coastal town."

Jeff and his wife Mattie live and work in the coastal Oregon town of Newport, amid economic changes looming. Their one son, Chris, is unemployed while their other son, Steve, is in military service. Chris is mostly lazy and lethargic, partly because he was dumped by his girlfriend, Jamie. Mattie tries to help her son while she secretly drinks herself. Jeff meanwhile pretends his nose is bleeding.
