"Something has come between Hannah and Martin that will change their lives forever"
Oliver's parents are divorced. His mother Hannah is now in a relationship with Frank, his father Martyn lives with a man, Tom. After Oliver claims that he was beaten up by a group of older boys, and shortly afterwards that his hand was stuck in the door of the car, his father suspects that Oliver is being mistreated by Frank. But he has no proof. Until he discovers that Hannah is aware of the abuse. Instead of protecting her child, Hannah chooses her relationship.
