Hjem plot

Maja is six years old when almost her entire family decides to move from Yugoslavia to Denmark. Her two brothers stay behind for now, waiting for the right moment to follow the rest of the family to the promised land. But Denmark proves to be anything but the welcoming refuge they had imagined. They have to learn a new language, adapt to different customs, and get to know an unfamiliar environment. Do they even want to stay here?
