Hiding Saddam Hussein plot
These were iconic images in 2003: Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein crawling out of a hole in the ground. Now, twenty years later, the man who dug that hole tells his story. How he, as an ordinary farmer, hid the deposed president for eight months under a flower bed in the garden. Into the camera he tells how his house was one day designated as a safe house to hide the man wanted by 150,000 American soldiers. In this way, the Iraqi farmer is forced to become a presidential hairdresser, personal physician and bodyguard; while eating together or helping each other wash their backs, a friendship almost seems to develop.
