Hedi Ohlsen is the stereotypical family mother who is constantly committed to helping others. She became a dental assistant herself to help her husband Dr. Johannes Ohlsen, who thanked her by running off with a younger woman. After his departure, she continues to care for her mother-in-law, but when she dies, she can finally start her own life. At least that's what she thought. Because suddenly her pregnant daughter Leonie Schmidt-Ohlsen is at the door, without money, without a job and without a father for her unborn child...
