"not history, but HERSTORY."
Busan, South Korea, 1991. Jung-sook Moon's successful travel company is shut down by the government for three months due to alleged links to the prostitution world. During that period, she set up a hotline in her office for victims of sex slavery. In search of her suddenly disappeared housekeeper, Jung-sook learns that she was a “comfort girl” for the Japanese occupying forces during the war. When several victims come forward, Jung-sook decides to file a lawsuit against the Japanese government at his own expense to get compensation for the suffering inflicted on the comfort women.
