Her Secret plot

Clara Weston, returning east to take up a secretarial position, is delayed en route and forced to spend the evening at a frontier hotel and dance hall. During the night, while a fight is going on in the saloon below, Clara is raped by a drunken surveyor who enters her room believing it to be the apartment of a dance hall girl with whom he has arranged a clandestine rendezvous. The next morning, Clara resumes her journey to the city where she learns that she is pregnant. By chance, she becomes secretary to Rex Fenton, her attacker, but does not recognize him because he has shaved off his beard.
