Her Better Self plot

Vivian Tyler is engaged to Count Belloto and then meets Dr. Robert Keith, whose good work with the poor has attracted considerable attention. She feels a strong attraction to him and asks permission to work in his sanatorium, where the city's poor are treated free of charge. There she meets Aggie May, a woman arrested as a street prostitute, and because she wears a locket with a picture of Dr. Keith, Vivian assumes the doctor is responsible for the woman's downfall.
