Heimkehr der Jäger plot

Franz, a copyist at the Vienna Museum of Art History, is finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the adverse effects of capitalism on his environment. He lives separately from his wife and daughter. His involvement in some famous paintings from the museum has a great influence on him; he develops a growing sensitivity towards everyday life. When one day he is no longer allowed to see his daughter, the pressure mounts. Mathilde, a supermarket clerk he met in the museum, can't temper his dissatisfaction and anger either.
