Hayuta and Berl, an elderly couple, are having a hard time adjusting to today's Israel and the social changes around them. After years of war, the two refuse to give up their common dream and their revolutionary plans to build a welfare state in Israel. During a night of painful disillusionment, the two decide to leave their apartment for one last trip.
